LDR is no secret code, it simply stands for Lovedale Road, the site where the fruit comes from and the original plantings for the De Iuliis family. The site is heavy clay giving the wine depth and intensity.  A vintage with no rain events meant the fruit was picked at optimal ripeness, fermented in large open vats and treated to the very best French oak.

Black fruit, mulberries, rubs of red earth and a dusting of pepper flow through this wine. Rich fruit flavours of black cherries combine with firm tannins to provide a full-bodied style with great length on the palate. Beautifully balanced, a hallmark of classic Hunter Valley style of Shiraz. This wine is definitely one for the cellar.
