Grown on the slopes of Mount Canobolas, this Vermentino is rich with elegance and an earthy mineral spectrum. The palate is flavoursome with salinity, slight phenolic bitterness and stony spectrum finish.
Albarino is a wonderful variety that is well suited to the Hunter Valley. Made without the use of oak, this is a riot of aromas and flavours. Spice and lime collide with fruit salad culminating in a delicious, crisp minerality.
We love Riesling but it's not really a Hunter variety, so we thought a cracking Riesling from a local winemaker using beautiful cool climate fruit was an excellent opportunity! Vibrant with citrus led aromas and flavours.
The warm, inland summer bestowed this wine with tropical fruit aromas and a palate bursting with notes of pineapple and honeysuckle, with a minerality of river stones and underpinned by a pink grapefruit acidity.
A rare departure from the Hunter classics by Liz Silkman. Showing zippy flavours of finger lime, lemon and grapefruit and the hallmark flavours of white pepper and green pear.
A quirky blend for a quirky bird. Ian & Suzanne have a special affinity for the lyre bird and have made a quirky blend of Verdelho, Pecorino, Vermentino and Albariño to make a crisp, easy drinking wine. Delicious (the wine not the bird).
Vermentino is an intriguing variety with chameleon-like qualities. Aromas of jasmine and white nectarine lead to a textural palate that is savoury, saline and vibrant all at the same time. A hint of toastiness, some zesty spice and a crisp minerality all add to the allure.
